About Us

Janice Lerit

Janice is a bay area native – born in San Francisco and raised in Oakland. She now resides with Aaron back in SF, and like every other San Franciscan, works for a startup. While working full-time, she is also a part-time student. She is completing her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, and in the process of applying for graduate school to get her Master’s.

Aaron Pollock

Aaron grew up in rural Wisconsin and moved to California in 2008, partly to find new work but mostly to find better weather. He always loved the Bay Area and knew for years he wanted to move out here. It took a while, but he made it! He now lives in downtown San Francisco with Janice, spending his days working in IT for a tech startup in the city.

Our Love Story

We’ve met

We met in 2010 when we both ended up working for the same startup in San Francisco. We quickly became close friends. Janice moved into the city and just happened to live a few blocks away - so we started spending a lot more time getting to know each other.

First Date

After three years, we had our first date. We went to a cozy Italian place nearby and had a great $900 dinner, as the waitress accidentally typed one too many digits. It was the first of many dinners to come...

Engagement

We had not been planning a trip, but we came across a great deal to Tokyo. Janice had no idea what was coming, but Aaron had everything planned out: the date, the location, and had the ring ready. And she said yes!
